Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi are heading back to the Final Four. Well, sort of.
Back for their third consecutive year, the UConn and WNBA stars will lead ESPN’s alternate broadcast of the Women’s NCAA Tournament Final Four and national championship game from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Friday, April 5 and Sunday, April 7.

The simulcast — which is produced by Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and is a replica version of the “Manning-cast” that Peyton and his brother Eli do during the NFL season on “Monday Night Football” — had Lisa Leslie, Seimone Augustus, Sheryl Swoopes, Lil Wayne, Dan Hurley, and Carmelo Anthony among others last year during the Final Four.
Earlier this year, the two took their simulcast show to the NBA as they called the Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks game on Christmas Day.

Both Bird and Taurasi — who won a national championship together during their two overlapping seasons at UConn and five Olympic gold medals together with USA Basketball — have come to be known to showcase their banter and uncensored personalities over the last two years as they break down games. And so with Friday’s star-studded lineup of talent — which features Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Kamilla Cardoso, Te-Hina PaoPao and more, along with their former coach Geno Auriemma — this year’s show will surely bring some laughter and iconic moments.
